Christmas Time

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year. We had a great christmas. KJ loved the tree, lights, and gifts. His first reaction to the gifts under the tree was Wo. He started unwrapping but then got bored of his own, so he helped us with ours. We all got some great gifts, and enjoyed relaxing and spending time with family. Here are some pictures to enjoy.

Our Cutie

Well life has been a bit crazy. We haven't moved yet because of finacing issues with the buyer, but apparently the deal is not dead yet, so we are hoping for the best. So right now we are somewhat living out of boxes. So besides that we took KJ on a train ride to the BYU game at the energy solutions arena, then to see the lights. He really loved the ride, and running around to see the lights. Then we put up the christmas tree since we haven't moved yet. KJ loves to touch it. It is a good thing we don't have any ornaments on it since they are in storage, otherwise they wouldn't even be on the tree because KJ would take them off. We didn't really get any good pictures from all these events but, here are some other cute ones of KJ. KJ has learned to climb our counter dining table and chairs and play on the table. Then he found the fake poinsetta.

Thanksgiving/Black Friday

We had a great thanksgiving. It started off with some Turkey Bowl. Darrell played with his young men and elder's quorum. KJ wanted to be in the action to, he also played on the playground and watched from there. Then we had some great food at Grandma Mangums house.

On Friday Darrell got up and did some early morning shopping with Brian. We got a great deal on a new dining table and 8 chairs valued at about $1200 and we got it for $500. The worst part was the 5 hours to assemble it.

While Darrell was shopping KJ got up and had a bath. He only let me put his diaper on, then he found his boots and was pretty persistant about having them put on.

Later friday evening we had dinner with Summer, KJ's birthmother. She was in town with her husband and little girl for a wedding. KJ loved her.

New Everything!!

Well we are very excited for our new changes that will be taking place. We are under contract with our home. So if all financing goes through we will be moving to Mom and Dads while our new home is being built. To top it all off, Darrell has his new dream job starting the school year 2009-2010. He got the Head track and cross country coach job with health and history at Maple Mountain High School. For those that don't know it is a brand new school in spanish fork, and alot of his kids at the junior high will be going there. He is very excited for the new challenge and new learning experience. Here is his new track with 8 lanes, and a great view.

We also enjoyed the football game yesterday. We cheered for the cougars but we knew utah would win. Here is KJ in his cougar, utah gear.

Basketball, and A Growing Vocabulary

KJ is very much a boy. Thanks to Grandma Walker we get to take KJ to BYU Basketball. He is in heaven when we get there. There are balls, dancing, and hotdogs (which he would eat if I new what was in it.) Just this week KJ has learned how to say basketball, but you have to be listening to his conversation to get it because he won't show off for you when you ask, but it is really cute. In regards to hotdogs it is another favorite word to say, and definitely his favorite food, he would eat it all day if you let him. Then there is dancing, he has quite the moves for a 15 1/2 month old.

KJ is turning into quite the chatterbox and there are some words we actually understand. His lattest and greatest so far is please. You ask him to say please and he will rub his belly with both hands in circles and say please. He has also learned to say cheese, thanks to the world of picture taking were everyone says say cheese. This is where he picked that word up because he doesn't know what cheese even is. He also has a favorite seat in the house, that is the stairs where he can watch tv from them, so we found him one day doing some funny things from the stairs while eating an apple.
Here are some other cute pictures

Play Doh

We had a great Halloween, and one thing KJ got was play doh so we have been getting it out and playing with it. We picked up a couple of tools to use with it.

Here are some pictures of one of KJ's favorite things to do, climb. He pulled himself up and then put his feet through the holes, it was to cute so I had to take pictures.

Halloween/Fall

We went shopping the other day to get KJ warm clothes for the fall and winter and we found these gloves that he tried on.

A great thing about fall is the apples. We bought a whole bag full from the red barn in santaquin, and KJ really enjoys them. He is even pretty good at eating the apple with only 4 teeth.

A great part about Fall and Halloween is the pumpkins, so we took KJ to get some. He sure did have a lot to say about the pumpkins and was extremely excited to bring them home.

We found a great costume for KJ at target. Our little man is going to be Yoda. We dressed him in it yesterday and took him with us to the Jr high halloween dance. He was a big hit, and he absolutely loved to dance.

The Kitchen Sink

Lately when I have been cooking something at the stove KJ has wanted to be helpful, so I sat him up on the counter, from there he proceeded to the kitchen sink and climbed in, then he grabbed the plate that had pieces of carrotts on it and started eating them. It was pretty cute to see so I had to share.

Awesome Couch

We bought KJ this couch the other day, and he really seems to enjoy it. He always sits in it when he is watching tv or eating a snack.

KJ is 32 inches long, and 23lbs at 14 months old. He seems to be healthy, but they took his blood at the doctors to check his galactose levels, and his liver function levels which we will find out in a couple of weeks about those. He also went to the eye doctors to check for cataracts, his eyes checked out good. This is him at the doctor's office.

We took KJ to the Zoo last monday in between his doctors appointments. He really enjoyed the big animals, and especially the drinking fountains.

Our Big Boy

This week KJ decided he is a big boy. He helped us put some more sticky tile in the the entry way instead of the carpet, he continues to eat with a fork, drink from Grandma Walkers mug, he even pulled out the push sweeper at grandma Walkers and acted like he was cleaning the floor. He has also grabbed the toilet wand and tried to clean the toilet, and the plunger to unplug the toilet. I didn't get a picture of the last items, but he sure was cute.

Here Darrell was snapping pictures and KJ stopped to pose.

Our Little Man

So I learned about this website called scrapblog.com where you can do digital scrapbooking. I used it to make our collage for the adoption stuff, but I also created this picture just for fun.
