Pi Day!

Pi day we love.  Not cause of math cause that definitely isn't are specialty, but making pie and eating it is something we do well.  Darrell came home from work and said we should make pie so after dinner we went to the store and picked out different kinds.  KJ wanted chocolate and Darrell and I wanted banana cream.  Of course we bought double of everything so KJ could have one with his milk and we could have ours with our milk.  It is always fun to make foods with KJ. I love that he has an interest in learning how to make things.

KJ and I found this dolic from Doctor Who up at Trolley Square the other  day so of course we stopped to take a picture for dad.

When the cousin comes over to play you put on your hip hop gear and start posing and doing moves to music.

Warm weather calls for outdoors times. KJ wanted to make us on the side walk so we did.

We bought the movie Frozen this week, so on Friday we had family movie night.  We picked up cafe rio, and went to the new Rita's in town then enjoyed the evening watching Frozen.

Dr Seuss

Last week was Dr. Seuss's birthday so KJ got to celebrate it at school, and when he got home he wanted green eggs and ham, because they made them at school but he couldn't eat them.  So we made them and enjoyed them for lunch.  He dressed as thing 1 as his costume.  Good thing we had a red shirt and some black and white duck tape to create it for him.

We also have been enjoying the spring like weather.  KJ and I watch the neighbor kids once a week and we decided to take them to the park, and use sidewalk chalk since it was so nice out side.
KJ is quite the little monkey bar expert, and he loves the swings, but he really enjoys the little girl we watch. He spent the day asking when she was going to wake up so he could play with her, and then at the park he really wanted to push her in the swings and go down the slide with her.

What do you do when dad brings home new clothing from his school that is just your size? you get excited and put it on, and when your son comes home crying because he can't eat the donuts someone brought for their birthday you attempt to make him some except no where has donut pans so they turn into cupcakes, but at least he had fun making them and putting sprinkles on them and then replied that these are made with love mom.

Randomness!

It has been a week of randomness.  We have been building cars out of legos and racing them. We attended Mr. Maple Mountain since Darrell was in it helping a kid out with a talent.  They did a star wars battle and Darrell was Darth Vader.  No one new Darrell was in the costume until he took of the helmet at the end and the audience went wild. Unfortunately I didn't think about getting a picture until after the fact.  The boys in the competition entertained us with their silliness, because they had more fun being that way than taking it serious.  One of the competitions they competed in was  cake decorating.  It was pretty cool to see what they with the help of some females came up with.  Seeing these cakes inspired KJ to want to decorate his own cake.  Chocolate his new favorite with lots of colors for frosting.Pokemon is the new toys this week.  I don't understand anything about them, but I enjoy listening to KJ tell me all about them and watch him create  his own pokemon cards. So what do you do when it rains and is cold out side?  We slid over the kitchen table and set up a basketball court and play the game.  We did manage to get out on friday to the last high school basketball game. The kids dressed as Indians, not really sure why, but KJ joined in the fun. Also KJ insisted since he was feeling better yesterday that we needed to make cinnamon rolls and eat them together and take a selfie so that is what we did. He also decided to be the tacodile from cloudy with a chance of meatballs, and yoda.
