13.1 Miles

What a fun adventure we had as family and girls as we set out to St. George for a night to hang out and run or cheer on others as they ran a half marathan. Thanks to all those that came, and the husbands that let us go. We enjoyed a drive full of talking and laughing, eating at restaurants where we must of been cursed because each one we went to took forever to get our food, a night of no sleep even without our kids or spouse there to interupt, and shopping at the outlets. My mom and Andrea where the greatest fans to sit and wait for us to take over two hours to run a race, and cheer us on and take pictures for us. Angela and I survived the half marathon finishing in 2 hours 17 min. to 2 hours 22 min. I describe it as survive Angela may say it differently, but the first 7 miles where great, then miles 7- 10 the exhaustion set in and the soarness started, and miles 10-13.1 was just hanging on for dear life knowing you have made it this far, you had to finish it now even with a numb, hot blistery foot. Thank goodness for a blessing from my husband I was able to run without any pain in my foot after not even being able to really walk on it for three days leading up to the race. I am extremely grateful that I got to race and finish what I had started, after almost not even getting to race in the end. Of course I had no pain in the injured foot and tons of burning and numbness in my other foot. So the joke is we should have blessed both feet and not just the injured one. Thanks to Angela for taking me up on this crazy adventure, and finishing it with me. It was a fun adventure!

Halloween 2010

This year for Halloween KJ got to dress up many times and had tons of costumes to rotate between.  For preschool he was spiderman, for just dress up he was bumblebee, and for the Halloween dance at the school, and Halloween he chose ironman since I got a $50 costume for $15 and couldn't pass up a deal.  We took KJ to the madness in downtown spanish fork to trick or treat on saturday, and he really enjoyed it.  Not really the candy, he doesn't eat it at all, but all the kids dressed up made him more excited than anything.  He had no interest in trick or treating that night instead he wanted to help at the door handing out candy.
