November

November is such a great month.  So much to be Thankful for, especially my family.  This month Alicia's adoption was finalized and we get to go to the temple in 19 days.  It was so great and Judge Davis was awesome.  KJ and Alicia got to wear his robes and we got to see his chambers.  Alicia had her check up for her six months and she was 12 lbs 7 oz and 24.6 inches long.  She is sitting up and crawling around as of today.  She loves your solid foods and has to hold the spoon to feed her self. KJ played basketball this month.  He is getting pretty good at it.  He even started scoring baskets in each game that he played in.  KJ, I and Uncle Don ran a race on thanksgiving day.  Don and I ran a half marathon, which was Don's first, and KJ ran a half mile race and did great for his second long distance race.  It was a lot of fun. We enjoyed thanksgiving dinner with just our small family of four and some family time together.  Now to enjoy the Christmas holiday and remember our Savior Jesus Christ, and KJ's art that he has started creating

October

Here it is November already. Time sure is flying by.  Halloween was fun.  KJ was Jack Skellington and Alicia and Darrell were super girl and superman. We enjoyed picking pumpkins at the pumpkin patch and carving them. KJ continues to progress in school.  He is a decent reader if he lets himself be.  He is figuring out all the spelling and learning about math. He is taking basketball camp again this year to learn the skills of basketball, he is pretty decent at the the basic skills of the game. Alicia has mastered rolling, is already up on her knees and feet trying to figure out how to crawl forward and not backwards.  She does decent sitting up, is starting to eat solid foods, and is a happy girl.   She even found KJ's blue box and tasted it and made her self in to a blue smurf.
Darrell finished his cross country season with the girls finishing second at region and 8th at state.  Not to bad for only one senior girl on the team.  His boys he says it was a character building year.  I am keeping myself busy taking care of the whole family, but loving it.   We finally got some family pictures taken for free by Uncle Doug and they turned out pretty decent.  We go to court in 2 weeks to finalize Alicia's adoption then we will be sealed in the temple.  We are so excited for all of this to take place.
