Alicia Kayla Wyatt

Where has time gone. It is already June and things have definitely changed for our family.  KJ had his program and has graduated from Kindergarten and is ready for first grade, Darrell finished high school track where the girls won region and finished second at state, and he lost a bet and had his head shaved by a girl that was a state champion in the high jump, and we adopted our new little addition a little baby girl. As we have been taught through out our whole lives. God hears and answers our prayers. It may not be immediately, but he hears them and sometimes we have to ask him with more specifics to show him that we know he is there and that we have faith and trust in him.  As most know KJ will be 7 next month. We waited a long time for this new little girl to come into our lives.  To the point that we considered walking away and being happy with KJ, but we decided to try one last time, and this time we prayed specifically.  We didn't know what we were asking for so we said what came to our mind.  We prayed and asked for a birth mom in her twenties that was carrying a little girl of bi-racial ethnicity.  Well what to you know. God heard.  On May 1st we met Kayla. Alicia's birth mom.  We spent a couple hours talking with her and her sister in Salt Lake City, and returned home that evening feeling at peace. On May 4th while texting Kayla she said she wanted us to be the parents of her little girl.  We were ecstatic but did not share our news cause people change their minds all the time.  We continued to text Kayla and then met her again with KJ this time.  We still felt at peace so we started to prepare on Monday May 19.  Well her due date was Sunday May 25th, so on Wednesday we shared out news and the next day they decided to induce her cause her levels were to low.  On Friday, May 23 2014 Alicia was born at about 3:43am. Weighing 6 pounds and 18 inches long. On Saturday we met her and held her for the first time, and on Sunday we officially adopted her. Kayla is 29.  Half puerto rican half caucasian. The birth father was Caucasian. She is 4'11. Alicia is named after Kaylas grandma.  This is our short story of how our family of 3 became 4.
