Summer Already!

I cannot believe it is summer vacation already. KJ graduated from preschool and is already excited to go back for one more year of it at daddy's school. The track season ended. Darrell's boys won region and took fourth at state. The girls took second at region with only 2 seniors on the team. So they will be good next year. Our basement flooded with water from all the rain, and run off from the neighbors house, luckily it was contained to a small area in two rooms, and KJ wanted in on all the house repairs so we painted his new bedroom with colors of his choosing, which of course is orange so we added blue so there wasn't so much orange. One day we will actually move him in to the room. Rick and Andrea's kids came and stayed for two days. We played at the park, played video games, and relaxed. Also Darrell's high school kids did a prank on him and brought his classroom to our backyard.

Easter

Time is flying. I can't believe it is already May.  We had an enjoyable Easter with family. We had a barbaque, easter egg hunt and time to play and socialize with family. One of our athletes took some cut pictures of KJ, and I finished my quit for our bed. I stitched it all by hand.

Loving the warm weather

We had the chance to play in the sun with family in Arizona. It sure was fun for us especially KJ cause he got to play with people other then mom.

KJ has really gotten into the Power Rangers Samurai so with my help and guidance he made power rangers with finger paints.  They turned out really good for a 3 year old.
KJ went to his first birthday party this month for a friend. They were pirates.
KJ learning to ride his scooter that he picked out for being a big boy at primary childrens. He did everything the doctor asked. He even sat in the seat by himself to have his blood drawn and had no tears. He sat there perfectly still and watched and played with bubbles.

10 Years!

Yesterday was our ten year anniversary.  Time sure is going by fast.  We had a great day and day before.   We went shopping and I got 2 precious moments, KJ had to be a part to so he got a perry the platypus animal, then we all built a bear and dressed them.  All the bears have become KJs friends; they play, eat, watch tv, get sad, cheer him on and he takes care of them. I got Darrell the rest of his star wars potatoe head collection and some reese's peanut butter hearts, and Darrell brought home a dozen roses. We also enjoyed dinner at Iggy's sports grill.  What a great 10 years it has been, and yea for an eternity to go together.  Love You Darrell.

Bye Bye Hair

So we finally did it. KJ got a haircut, or I should say a shaving down to the skin. He has never had a haircut so all the hair was different lengths, and some areas had no hair and others had tons. We decided that by getting rid of it all maybe it will grow back thicker and even across the head. He did do really well letting us cut his hair, he kept saying it tickled, but it did take him a day of wearing a hat all day to decide it was okay for others to see it.  We love his curls so we look forward to what this haircut will bring, but he still looks cute bald.

Here are other pictures of him attacking his punching bag. And I don't have pictures of him writing, but he has figured out that you trace the letters in the book that have dotted lines, so he is learning the concept of writing his letters while trying to learn what the letters are.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas day is here. What fun it has been so far. KJ got up at 7:30am and didn't even realize all the presents from santa until about 8am. We had a feast for breakfast with options of french toast, blueberry muffins, eggs, ham, sausage, and bacon. After breakfast we opened the gifts then played with them. Tonight is our first attempted at a turkey dinner that we made for the first time in 10 years by ourselves thanks to Darrell's work. We have also enjoyed christmas vacation with over 2 feet of snow, basketball with the family, and christmas eve at Grandma and Grandpa Mangums.
