32 Years Old!

Look who is 32 years old. We celebrated Darrell's birthday on Sunday. We got him some new dress pants and stuff for his camera and a byu cougar pillow pet that hopefully arrives soon.  My sister Terri made this cake for him, which he absolutely loved.  The Cross Country Team decorated the outside of the house.  Nicole gave Darrell a watermelon which she put a candle on and we sang Happy Birthday to him.  It was a fun day with family. We love you Darrell, Hope you had a great day!

Where has time gone!

It is August already and back to work it is for Darrell. He has been working all summer doing drivers ed and coaching but those are at his own schedule. We  enjoyed the remaining weeks of summer hanging out with some sometimes crazy but amazing kids  during two a days of cross country camp. We went to shadow mountain for 3 of the days, and then different parts of the county to run the other days.  These kids are amazing and KJ absolutely loves them this you will see from all the pictures from his time spent around them.

We also enjoyed finishing out swimming with the cousins.

4 years old

Look who is 4 years old. We had a great day or days celebrating the birthday with this amazing little guy.  We took him to Captain America on Friday, which he ended up sleeping through cause he was so tired. On Monday his actual birthday we enjoyed some of the local parade, and went swimming at grandmas with all the cousins, and taught him how to play horseshoes. We enjoyed spiderman cupcakes, cake, balloons and of course all the many birthday gifts.
KJ is amazing, he brightens up our day. There is never a dull moment in the house.  He is very loving. He always says I love you over and over and gives lots of hugs and kisses.  He is starting to understand letters of the alphabet and their sounds.  He loves to ask what time it is and what you do at that time.  He loves to do art projects, and read books with mom.  He is very good at checking on mom and seeing if she is doing good. He is one special kid that we are so lucky to have in our eternal family. He has an amazing Birthmother Summer. Thanks to her for taking a chance on us, and letting us have these amazing 4 years so far with this little man. We love you KJ. Happy Birthday!

Oregon

What fun we had in Oregon hanging out with family, and playing on the beach.  We headed out bright and early to Pendelton Oregon where we spent the first night swimming at the hotel and eating with family. Then the next day we took a quick detour to Eugene Oregon to the University of Oregon so Darrell could see Hayward field which is a track and field stadium, and be in tracktown USA.  For someone who loves track and field so much Darrell was in Heaven.  After an hour there it was on to the beach at Depoe Bay.    KJ and I went tide pooling with Nicole and other family.  KJ held a starfish that we found in the tide pools.  Darrell got over taken by a wave when he was taking a picture of us, and ended up destroying his phone and camera in the water.  It sucked to lose them, but it was extremely funny seeing him taken down.  We at at Mo's for dinner, Shopped at the little beach shops, and outlet stores, played minute to win it games, played at the beach, had a sand castle contest against the other families, went for walks on the beach, and just enjoyed relaxing and visiting.
